I Film with My Shoes On

As I've been working on videos for my Core-4 series I've noticed a shift in my mindset! And it's the weirdest thing. I'm wearing shoes!!
Core-4 is a series of courses that I'm teaching to explore what Scripture says about Identity, Authenticity, Purpose and Vision. (Check out the first one, Identity, here: https://www.talkandpray.us/offers/YRwzJFqR)
I believe these four are what most women need: to remember who and Whose we are, to be our best self, to function in and on purpose daily, and to have a vision for the abundant life we've been given.
But... SHOES? 🤔
I'm a barefoot kinda gal, especially at home. But I notice that when I put on my shoes my whole attitude changes. It's as if I'm going somewhere or doing something important. I have purpose and destinations and I walk taller and my feet are warm and ready for anything! lol
No wonder the Apostle Paul talks about being clothed, and shod.... the metaphor isn't just about appearance. It's a whole shift in who we are.
Have your "feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace" -- Ephesians 6:15
Clothe yourself, Paul writes to the church at Colosse:
Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:9-12
Our clothing -- physical or spiritual -- changes not only our perception of ourselves but also of others.
Compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience? Yes, please. What a world it would be if we were all clothed thus!!
It's a whole new take on the question, "What are your wearing?" 🤣
I'm putting on my shoes! I have things to do and people to see!
